Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Asiwaju Seun Fakorede has appealed to the public to stop creating unnecessary tension over the position of Shooting Stars General Manager's office and speculation that the state government has appointed new manager to direct the affairs of the club.

Fakorede urged all shooting stars fans, supporters, lovers of the Oluyole Warriors to rather stand with the club and the family of late Rasheed Balogun in prayers instead of using the vacuum to score cheap political game, distractions that could further compound to the club's woes.

Balogun, 70, died Thursday night after a long battle with an undisclosed illness and buried Friday morning at his Mowe residence according to Islamic rites.

According to him, the latest in their propaganda effort is the baseless report, and those behind these reports should desist from misleading the public and for the interest of the club.

"Anyone, anywhere should not seat in his or her comfort zone to mislead the public on social media or any gathering. It is very wrong, if you don't know the latest development about Shooting Stars, why not ask? It is totally unacceptable and wrong for anyone who claimed to love this club wholeheartedly - and mislead the public with lies or propaganda."

"We are presently faced with so many things at the moment, we are not even thinking of replacing our dear father whose death came to me and the state government as a shock."

"Those behind this reports should stop, they said they love the club, can we actually call this love?

He asked OyoSportsNews

They are distracting us from achieving our goals." He answered again."

He speaks further, "Right now, LMC approved and granted us a big honour to postpone the match and a minute silence will be observed across match venues tomorrow. We are sad at the moment, appointing another general manager is not in our plan. Late Balogun's family and other programs are our biggest concern and focus. The office is vacant and no one is in plan to replace him. Not even at the moment." He told OyoSportsNews on Saturday evening.
