Shooting Stars Team Manager, Dimeji Lawal has expressed happiness with how his players came through “a really tough week” with victory at Kwara United in a rescheduled Nigeria Professional Football League matchday 8 fixture, and called on his players to return the missing link in the team dressing room.

Shooting Stars endured a frustrating and unpleasant week with their recent poor run at the league and the sudden death of former general manager, Rasheed Balogun.

“It was a really tough week but really positive with performances and results,” Dimeji Lawal told OyoSportsNews after the match.

"Firstly I want to thank the state governor, honourable commissioner, and people of Oyo state. It was really a tough week for us, I don't know how to describe this. The spirit of my boss, Rasheed Balogun stood behind us today, I told my boys during the week that we are going to win the match come rain - come shine, that is it today.

Asked what were his thoughts when the team were down 1-0. 'Kabongo' as fondly called replied.

"I have the strong believe that we are going to win, immediately the equalizer came in, I know we are winning and God gave us the sweet win."

Dimeji Lawal added that two things are missing Shooting Stars dressing room. He pointed out that the presence of the general manager and laughter. He added that the team will build on the performance in their next away match to MFM in Lagos and return with positive results.
