SIX FEMALE COACHES GRADUATE FROM NIS AFTER OBIDEYI-SPONSORED COACHING PROGRAMME

It was a moment of pride, joy and fulfilment as six female sports enthusiasts successfully completed their basic coaching programme at the National Institute for Sports (NIS), following their sponsorship by the Oyo State Pillar of Sports, Mr. Temitope Ademola Obideyi.

The beneficiaries, selected irrespective of their states of origin or current locations, emerged as certified coaches after completing their national diplomal, marking another significant milestone in Obideyi's commitment to empowering women and strengthening the human capacity required for sustainable sports development.

The newly trained coaches are Anthony Esther Ngozi (Football), Sobulo Omolara Mondinat (Football), Yusuf Adejoke Basirat (Handball), Adenaike Odunayo Ayomide (Football), Shittu Medinat Aderonke (Kung Fu), and Amos Titilayo Tope (Basketball).

For the graduates, the completion of the programme represents more than the acquisition of certificates; it is the beginning of a new professional journey and an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the development of young athletes in their respective sports.

Speaking after their graduation, the coaches expressed deep appreciation and excitement over the opportunity to receive professional training at one of Nigeria's foremost sports institutions. They described the sponsorship as a life-changing opportunity that has equipped them with valuable knowledge, skills and renewed confidence to pursue their coaching ambitions.

The graduates also expressed gratitude to Obideyi for investing in their development and believing in their potential, promising to translate the knowledge acquired into meaningful contributions to sports and youth development.

Congratulating the six coaches, Temitope Ademola Obideyi described their graduation as a proud moment for the Pillar of Sports Youth Development Foundation and a testament to the importance of investing in people.
