OYO COACHES ASSOCIATION HOLDS AGM, CALLS FOR MEMBERS WELFARISM

The Nigeria Football Coaches Association (NFCA) Oyo state chapter held her annual general meeting yesterday at the Tennis Pavilion of the Lekan Salami stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan. The annual meeting was the first under Coach Festus Adegoju led administration.

State chairman, Coach Dr. Festus Adogoye Adegoju expressed his happiness and joy on the success recorded so far by his administration and also appealed to the government for good welfare and insurance package for coaches.

“I sincerely appreciate all members and elders of this association for their supports because without them we would not have achieved anything. In just twelve months of taking over the leadership of this noble association, we've been able to create and own a working website, bring financial improvement to the association, build our own association house, make available a membership certificate, review and amend our association constitution and establish the Oke-Ogun sports club."

Adegoju also seized the avenue to appeal to the state government and private club owners to cater for the welfare of football coaches and insurance scheme. He also charged his colleagues to seek for more knowledge by putting in for programs - adding that football is dynamic.

Dignitaries present at the meeting are; Dr. I.A. Salami (first vice president of the Nigeria Coaches Association, National ), Hon Babatunde Olaniyan (Retired Referee and former deputy speaker Oyo state House of Representatives), Coach Idowu Akintola (representing the chairman of Ibadan Football Association), Hon. Prince Abioye Adeyemo (special on youths and sports Oyo state), Senator Soji Akanbi who was well represented by his personal assistant.
