The Oyo State Football Association under the leadership of Chief /King James Ọdẹníran, the Alákínyẹlé of Akinyele was rumoured to have pampered and at the same time not in support of Shooting Stars in their campaign at the Nigeria Professional Football League 2021/2022 season. The state FA through its secretary, Kehinde Ojelowo rebuffed claims and media reports that the present executive members were reportedly looking for the downfall for the Oluyole Warriors - the claims were attributed to the poor performance of the Ibadan based club at the ongoing NPFL season.

But the Oyo FA secretary, Kehinde Ojelowo denied such speculations, reiterating the body's confidence in the state government fulfilled promises and Edith Agoye's 'unuttered selected players' to lead and also to maiantan the team status at the Nigeria Professional Football League.

On the media reports, Kehinde Ojelowo replied OyoSportsNews:

"The sate FA is unaware of the media claims concerning 3SC, my brother, we are fully behind them , In fact, solidly behind shooting stars. The GSM Pre-season Tournament could have been forgotten if not for Oyo State Sports Council and FA. - And we can see their weaknesses and improvements prior and after to the tournament."

"OyoSportsNews, the club general manager, team manager and coaches all confirmed that the GSM tournament were eye opener before the league on December 17. They have our backing anyday - anytime as it were in the past and we shall continue. They are directly responsible to the state government through the ministry for youth and sports. All stakeholders in the state are behind 3SC and we're working day and night on how to come out of relegation zone and put smiles on their fans

"No one is after 3SC's downfall, it's just like demolishing a house you built with sweats, money, time, and other logistics. I don't want to say more than that because of my office but we are working to turn this poor situation around for good."

OyoSportsNews in a private chat with a source at the state house hinted that a crucial meeting is currently going at the sate secretariat and the outcome will be revealed later.

Shooting Stars next fixture is against Kwara United at Lekan Salami stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan on Sunday, January 23rd, 2022. They are placed 19th on the log after seven league matches
