3SC COACH ABIMBOLA LAWAL: WE MUST CONTINUE TO IMPROVE

With the absence of Gbenga Ogunbote at the technical area, Head Coach Abimbola Lawal led the team to a 3-0 second half win as Anthony Okachi grabbed a brace alongside Alabi Apatapiti. Abimbola Lawal hailed an "important" 3-0 victory over Niger Tornadoes, but said his side must not look too far ahead. "There is nothing much in that, it is a pre-season game, we don't need to be happy too much but we need to improve and do more. It is good the boys are perfecting our techniques, we also need to work more mostly in our attack." He said.

Niger Tornadoes under Abubakar Bala are presently in the South West, Nigeria for a pre-season tour, and will also be in Sagamu and Ikenne this week as they engage Remo Stars and FC Ebedei in another friendlies. After a goalless first half score, Alabi Apatapiti got the only goal for the Oluyole Warriors at the 60th minute after Taofeeq Malomo's shot was ejected by Tornadoes goalie. 3SC doubled the tally at the 84th minute by Anthony Okachi after through ball from Samuel Stone. The defensive/attacking midfielder posed for pictures before uploading the photos on his official Facebook page which was seen by OyoSportsNews . The former Vandrezzer FC player who is known for his trademark celebration was part of the squad that beat Saki United at Saki Township stadium last week. Anietie has decided to go for an all-black short weave hairstyle, he appears in a happy and confident mood ahead of the NPFL, which is likely to kick-off December 2022. The goal winner for Shooting Stars' match against Nasarawa United last season made 30 appearances last season and he's eager to again this coming new season.

Babatunde Olaniyan fondly called 'Akoro' has proposed at least four 'Grade A' friendly matches for Shooting Stars players. OyoSportsNews has scooped. Asiwaju Seun Fakorede, the State Commissioner for Youths and Sports, disclosed during a news conference held at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) press centre on Wednesday in Ibadan.
