The venue for the second edition will take place at the refurbished Lekan Salami stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan. In the draw conducted on Tuesday, Nigeria Professional Football League side, Shooting Stars are grouped in A alongside Corner Stones and Young Stars. Group B: GROUP B, Pace Setters Intl, Ilaji FC and a team from Ibadan Football Association representatives, DON FA will lock horns. GROUP C will see Ogbomoso United trading tackles alongside Oke Ogun United and Oyo Zonal FC while the last group has paraded Positive FC, Oyo State Housing Corporation and Ogbomoso Zonal FC. A letter signed by Oyo State Football Association secretary, Mr Kehinde Ojelowo listed the teams: The teams are; Shooting Stars SC, Positive Football Academy, Pacesetters International FC, Ogbomoso United, Cornerstone United, Housing Corporation FC. Others are; Oke Ogun United, Oyo State Sport Council football team, Young stars, DON FA, Oyo Zonal football association and Ogbomoso zonal football association. The tournament is billed to start Thursday, December 2nd to Tuesday, December 7th at the Lekan Salami stadium Adamasingba Ibadan. A WhatApp Message made available to OyoSportsNews by the association chairman, Barrister Rotimi Alli confirmed two representatives that was picked from the ongoing IFA League. DON Football Academy and Young stars FC have been nominated as a result of their performances on the current IFA league standing. The championship which began 22nd November came to an end today, 27th November 2021. Before the final stage, Onyekachi Ogumjiofor beat Isreal Adeusi 9-1 while Ganiyu Mubarak also booked his place in the final by beating Amir Mohammed 9-0. A member, who spoke on condition of anonymity said the planning committee is yet to announce teams, dates and venues for the pre-season tournament. "The attention of Oyo State Football Association has been drawn to news on radio stations and social media platforms on the dates, teams for Gov Makinde pre-season tournament. I want to state clearly that it is not true. when we are done, official statement will be released, hopefully today." The source concluded.
