The Borno State Government, under the leadership of Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, has been urged to honour, reward and celebrate El-Kanemi Warriors team that won the club’s historic triumph in the President Federation Cup. The Warriors defeated Ikorodu City FC 1-0 in the final played in July at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta State, to lift the prestigious trophy for a record fourth time. Their triumph came after a demanding campaign in which the team battled through challenges and difficulties to deliver another major honour to Borno State. Two months after this huge achievements, the government is yet host niether the players or officials to a banquet to honour and reward them.
