Edith Olumide Agoye has said Shooting Stars home win over Kwara United on Wednesday showed they have the character to leave the relegation zone and compete with other league clubs on the Nigeria Professional Football League log.

The Oluyole Warriors gaffer was under pressure before today's match after dropping points at home, and the demise of their general manager Rasheed Balogun had further rubbed salt to their wounds.

Speaking to OyoSportsNews after the match, Agoye said the win has formed the team character.

"Twice we played at home and were a goal down and tried to draw the game. Today, we went down again and we came back - we won the game. Gradually, team character is being built, we were very happy today, otherwise the turn around we've been looking for would have been something else. We believe after today's game things will change."
