AFCON: ANTHONY ENCHO TIPS CAMEROON TO DO WELL

Crown FC Cameroonian Coach Anthony Encho has tipped the Cameroon national team to put in a good performance at AFCON 2021, which kicks-off on Sunday night. He also agreed that Cameroon were good enough to go all the way.


The hosts, who take on Burkina Faso on Sunday night, are considered the favourites to win Africa's biggest tournament.

Recall that the Indomitable Lions are pitted in Group A alongside Burkina Faso, Ethiopia and Cape Verde. They will kick off their campaign as host nation on Sunday in an opening match against Burkina Faso.

The tournament, originally scheduled to be played in June and July 2021, will be played in Cameroon between January 9 and February 6, 2022.


“I know what it feels like playing a big tournament at home, the current indomitable lions team is very good and the expectation is that they will play well. Yes, with the new appointment of the president of the Cameroon FA, Samuel Etoo. I believed a lot of motivation will set in because he knows in an out of football. The players spirit is very high and they are looking forward to win it for he sixth time if God permits."
