Shooting Stars have been boosted ahead of this weekend's home match against Sunshine Stars of Akure by the news that former Gateway United stopper Okechukwu Johnson has finally returned to training.

The lanky player hasn't been seen since his appearance against Corner Stones at the second edition of Gov Seyi Makinde Pre-season Tournament held last year December. He had a knock on his right toe and was sidelined for six weeks.

It seems as though that absence is over as the Oluyole Warriors confirmed that Johnson is finally back in training and he now appears to be in line for a handful of minutes off the bench on Sunday.

Friday's training session before Sunshine Stars matchday six fixture saw all players on the pitch for final preparation after thier victory over CRIN FC at the IFA league.
