FAKOREDE APPEALS TO 3SC FANS

Oyo state sports boss, Asiwaju Seun Fakorede has appealed to soccer fans and the club's supporters for patience and assured them that Shooting Stars will soon put smiles on their faces and post good results.


Fakore told OyoSportsNews that he had confidence in the team's ability to return to winning ways and also call on the fans to be calm.


"We are in a trying period, the fans are not happy, every one is sad with the result. I have to appeal to them for calm. The crowd is very impressive and we must not disappoint them again. We know the results is not encouraging but I appeal to them to stay behind this team."

This early move is seen as a significant step in his vision to reposition the Ibadan-based club for domestic dominance and continental relevance. It would be recalled that the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, recently pledged to provide Shooting Stars with a brand-new Toyota Coaster bus for players and a Toyota Hummer bus for the coaching crew, as part of the government’s support for the club ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season, which kicks off on August 22nd. Despite the high turnover of players, Shooting Stars recorded no continental football qualification and did not reach the Federation Cup final.
