The club, after three years of participating at the state federation cup clinched the title for the first time in the annual competition’s history. Ifon Pepo opened the scoring for the Oluyole Warriors in the 15th minutes but only lasted for 16th minutes as Ilaji FC defender Babalola Okikiola score two goals within two minutes to give his side a first half lead at halftime. In the second half, Shooting Stars relaible midfielder and captain Taofeek Malomo came off the bench to draw levels for the warriors at the 62nd minutes, but, again, Ilaji FC took the lead five minutes later as Babalola Okikiola completed his hat-trick for Ilaji FC at the 67th minute. Green Beret and Gallant Queens of the Nigeria Army have emerged champions of the 2024 Kaduna State Football Association (FA) Cup in the men and women’s category respectively. Green Beret defeated Simoiben Football Academy 2-0 goals in the men’s final while Gallant Queens humbled Kada Queens 6-0 goals in the women’s final played at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium (ABS) on Saturday. OYO NLO TEAMS TO UNDERGO MEDICALS TEST

By Oluseyi Adedire Twitter/Instagram: @oyosportsnews FB: Oyo Sports Update Nine registered Nation-wide League one clubs in Oyo state have been directed to converge at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan tomorrow for the 2024 pre-competition medical assessment. A released signed the Chief Operating Officer of the Nation-wide League, Mr Olushola Ogunnowo and made available to OyoSportsNews informed that clubs that have made payment for thier registration are advised make their players available for the exercise. The released added that each club should present 25players with the pre-competition medical assessment form attached to them each. Shooting Stars Team B, Positive FC, Cornerstone FC,  Oye Olohun FC,  Oyomesi FC,  Black Scorpion FC, Ogbomoso United FC, Professional Sports International, and Ilaji FC are expected to be at the Oyo State Football Association secretariat office, Lekan Salami Sports Complex, 9am on Saturday,  March 30th, 2024.

By Oluseyi Adedire Twitter/Instagram: @oyosportsnews FB: Oyo Sports Update Four Nationwide League one sides, Ilaji FC, Cornerstone FC, Professional Sports International (PSI) and Oyomesi FC are understood to have confirmed participation in the 1st edition of the Oyo State NLO Preseason Tournament billed to hold from April 3rd until April 7th 2024, OyoSportsNews reports. The 5-day event according to the organizer will hold at Olubadan stadium, Durbar stadium Oyo and Iseyin township stadium. Twelve teams were proposed for the first edition including nine Nation-wide League clubs. However, OyoSportsNews gathered that four clubs have shown interest with expectations from other clubs before Monday. Oyo State Football Association secretary Mr Kehinde Adebayo Ojelowo told OyoSportsNews that registration fee is N50,000.00. Black Scorpion FC, also known as the 'The Stingers', is reportedly owned by the Agbaakin of Ogbomosho and Chairman of Omoluabi 87.7 FM and former Nigeria Minister of Youth & Sports Chief Sunday Akin Dare.
