NNL: Tornadoes, Plateau, MFM Promoted

Nigeria Tornadoes were promoted to the Premier League after a combination of results in the Nigeria National League on Saturday went in their favour. Tornadoes, who beat Mighty Jets 2-0 on Saturday, needed a win at Minna even before their last fixture. It means Abdulahi Usman Biffo's Tornadoes will line up in the top flight for the first time since 2012 after they relegated from the Premier League on goal difference after scoring 38 goals in 36 games. Thirteen of the goals were scored by Sibi Gwar who was the league's top scorer. Meanwhile, a Lagos based side has secured promotion into the Nigeria Premier League.
