OYO FA MOURNS 3SC GM, RASHEED BALOGUN

The Oyo State Football Association (OYSFA) has described the death of Shooting Stars General Manager, Rasheed Balogun as shocking and devastating.

A statement from the Association Secretary, Kehinde Ojelowo, quoted the State Chairman, Chief James Ọdẹníran, paying tributes to Balogun.


According to the statement, the entire exceutive members, board members and committee of the Oyo state football association is sad with the sudden death of our brother, friend, a core football administrator, Rasheed Balogun, who was announced to have departed this world last night.


"This is a huge shock. Each and every one of us at the state football association is in absolute grief because he was a loyal and sound administrator who knew the nitty gritty of football. This is a terrible blow, he was one man you can always rely on to give candid advice, and how football should be run."

His wide knowledge and decades of experience in football administration gave him edge and that was why Shooting Stars achieved under his leadership. We will surely miss him,” Chief James Ọdẹníran, the Alákínyẹlé of Akinyele was quoted as saying.
 
Balogun died on Thursday night (January 20) at the age of 62.
