Shooting Stars welcome Kwara United FC of Ilorin to the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan, with the Ibadan soccer lords eyeing victory.

The  Oluyole Warriors go into Wednesday's NPFL matchday eight clash against their long time rivals, hoping for a change of fortune, having failed to win in their last three fixtures.

The Stars have been searching for victory after their matchday four 1-0 triumph over Katsina United, a win that has been followed by losses on the road to Enyimba FC and Niger Tornadoes and a home draw against South west neighbours, Sunshine Stars of Akure.

Returning to winning ways, winning back the hearts of their fans and winning for their late General Manager, Rasheed Balogun, who died last Thursday, are the factors that will definitely fire up the Oluyole Warriors against the Afonja Warriors.

Coach Edith Agoye and his lads know what is at stake as their home fans, who openly showed their displeasure over the 2-2 draw against Sunshine Stars, will not be pleased with another unfavourable result.

"We are in no mood for a negative result against Kwara United. We can't afford to let our fans down again, hence we are poised to get the maximum points.

"We recently lost our boss, Rasheed Balogun, a father to us all and we know the best way to honour him, is to win this game for him and that exactly is our target", said skipper Omololu Waheed.

Kwara United are not that convincing on the road but coach Abdulahi Buffo, insists his team will add to the woes of 3SC, but against a determined Oluyole Warriors side, the Afonja Warriors may return to Ilorin empty handed.

Players of both sides will wear black arm bands, while a minute silence will be observed at the 70th minute of the encounter, in honour of the late 3SC General Manager, Rasheed Balogun
