Taiwo Micheal Awoniyi born in Ilorin, Kwara state, Middle Belt region of Nigeria, bordered to the east by Kogi State, to the north by Niger State, and to the south by Ekiti, Osun, and Oyo states while its western border makes up part of the international border with Benin Republic.


Taiwo, born 12 August 1997 is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Bundesliga club Union Berlin and the Nigeria national football team. Awoniyi's style of play has been compared to that of Rashidi Yekini, Nigeria's all-time highest goalscorer.
