Edith Olumide Agoye has explained Shooting Stars free kick strategies and takers after the Oluyole Warriors fans were deeply concerned by Gafar Olafimihan's goal drought in 1-0 win against Katsina United on Sunday.

Since the commencement of the Nigeria Professional Football League, the Oluyole Warriors have netted three goals. Ayo Adejubu 90+ equalizer against the defending champion Akwa United, Akilu Mohammed's goal against Lobi Stars and Wasiu Alalade's winning goal over Katsina United.

On Sunday evening against Katsina United, statistics revealed that Shooting Stars were awarded seven free kicks but none were utilized.

Speaking to OyoSportsNews after the match, Agoye explained reasons why Isiaka Mutiu was in charge of all free kicks against Katsina United.

"We players that can take free kicks, it all depends on the type, if it was long range that require power, we have about two players that does that, for free kick that requires precision, we have two players again for that. But today, you can see it was long range kicks.

Speaking on missed chances through corner kicks, set pieces, aerial balls, Agoye said; "Naturally, if you see the game apart from set pieces; we created chances in the open play, we are satisfied with the open play but we go back to the drawing board, train and work on set pieces because if you can't score from open play, set pieces is another area you can utilize, at least, we would have options."
