DIMEJI LAWAL: WE HAVE NO EXCUSE, IT'S A PROCESS THAT WILL BLOSSOM

Shooting Stars Team Manager Dimeji Lawal says his side have “no excuses” for the fans after a disappointing home draw against Sunshine Stars of Akure on Sunday evening. The former 33C player was also quick to assure fans that the team current results and performance is a process that will be fruitful in no time.


Shooting Stars head to Lekan Salami stadium, Adamasingba Ibadan on Sunday for their sixth game in the Nigeria Professional Football League, having lost to Enyimba at the 84th minute by alone goal at the matchday five. The Ibadan based team played a 2-2 draw and were outplayed by the Akure Gunners.

The Oluyole Warriors are currently on 17th position on the NPFL standings and the fans are no longer patience with the lackluster performance 

On his WhatApp status, Dimeji was disappointed with the result but was confident that the current technical crew had embarked on a fruitful process that the world will soon see.


Dimeji Lawal, a former Real Madrid Team B player also appealed, explained and assured fans on a WhatsApp group:

"⚽⚽⚽ good afternoon honourable house, i want to tender sincere apology here to you our dear supporters, there is no excuse for such lackluster performance of yesterday, it was totally disgraceful, unacceptable and berating. Now we have to march words with actions, there must be quick turnaround, in terms of results and performance. We are as disgusted as you our teeming supporters. Football is all about results, and when that is not happening, people have rights to question our stewardship, hopefully positive turnaround will happen as fast as expected. Your time, money, emotions, physical strained, for your darling club cannot go unnoticed. Once again i say we are very sorry, thanks for your commitment and understanding..... Kabongo."
