Shooting Stars assistant coach, Kabir Alausa has maintained that the team impressive performance against Young stars FC was as a result of team work, geared towards preparations ahead of the Nigeria Professional Football League 2021/22 season.

Two brilliant goals from Akilu Mohammed 35minute and Dare Olatunji 78'minute gave the Oluyole Warriors a comfortable 2-0 victory over stubborn Young stars.


Speaking to OyoSportsNews after the match, Alausa, a former Shooting Stars and Julius Berger point man said the performance of the players were superb and impressive. He maintained that collective team work and determination gave his side the sweet victory.

"The players did very today, we are happy with thier performances. The team work was impressive, we won the first edition of GSM Pre-season tournament and there is nothing stopping us to win this second edition. I'm proud to say we are getting it right and we want this to continue before the league commence."

Speaking on the team recent trip to Lagos state for friendlies and thier return to Ibadan for GSM Pre-season Tournament, Alausa explained that the club management is making all efforts to ensuring the players get expose to different match test and conditions. He assured that the coaches are also considering fatigue and injuries.
