OYO SWAN CUP: BCOS' AKEDE BOMBERS BOMB AGIDIGBO FM TO RETAIN TITLE

The Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) Football team, Akede Bombers has successfully defended the Oyo SWAN 5-A-side football competition.


The team crushed Agidigbo FM 4-1 in the final at the Lummy's Turf Arena, Challenge Area, Ibadan. 

Agidigbo drew the first blood in early minutes but was stunned as Akede Bombers hit four goals in the first half. 

Yomi Adigun scored brace as Ganiyu Kazeem and Kayode Olagunju also registered their names on the score sheet. 

It was a ding dong affair in the second half as the two teams failed to find the back of the net. 

With this victory, it is the third time the BCOS Team would win the Oyo State SWAN competition.

The Oluyole Warriors, after their qualification to round 32 early this morning without kicking the ball, following the refusal of Zamfara United FC to show up for the round of 64 fixture at the Area 3 field, Abuja have been expelled from the oldest football competition in Nigeria. In a letter signed by the director for competition, Ruth David, on behalf of the Nigeria Football Federation General Secretary. Five players who were not registered with the Nigeria Football Federation for this year edition were fielded in today's match against Zamfara United.
