3SC GM RASHEED BALOGUN BAGS SWAN AWARD

Astute football administrator, Rasheed Balogun, has been listed among other notable personalities to be honoured by the Sports Writers' Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Oyo State chapter.

The Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan General Manager, was, according to Oyo SWAN, picked for an award as a result of his efforts towards the promotion of the Oluyole Warriors to the Nigeria Professiobal Football League (NPFL).


In a letter addressed to the 3SC boss, which was jointly signed by Niyi Alebiosu and Adewale Tijani, Chairman and Secretary of Oyo SWAN, the honour will be bestowed on Balogun, and other listed personalities on Sunday, December 19.

The 3SC General Manager, will be honoured at a Dinner/Award Night, marking the end of Oyo SWAN' successful 2021 Week, at the Joy Bam Hotel and Suites, Orita Challenge, Ibadan.

This early move is seen as a significant step in his vision to reposition the Ibadan-based club for domestic dominance and continental relevance. Despite the high turnover of players, Shooting Stars recorded no continental football qualification and did not reach the Federation Cup final.
