GSM PRE-SEASON: IFA PRAISES YOUNG STARS AFTER IMPRESSIVE START, CHARGES DON FA TO GO FOR WINNING

Ibadan Football Association (IFA) Chairman, Barrister Rotimi Alli has praised Young stars football club after their mightily impressive start at the opening match of the second edition of Gov Seyi Makinde Pre-season Tournament.


Recall that the Ibadan Football Association last Saturday nominated Young stars and DON FA as thier representatives. The nomination, according to Barrister Rotimi Alli was as a result of their performances on the IFA league standings.



This morning, Young stars and Corner Stones kicked off the tournament at the Lekan Salami stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan with a 3-1 resounding victory over Corner Stones.

Speaking to OyoSportsNews after the match, Alli was impressed and ecstatic with the performance and result Young stars gave the fans and IFA.

"I'm impressed and happy with the result, we didn't expect less from them but they did beyond our expectations. I can assure you that this team will be at the semi finals if not beyond."

"Young stars have been consistent and today's result shows what they are capable of doing."

Barrister Rotimi Alli was quick to reply when asked who the finalist might be. "We are going to have four semi finalists, and two at the final. I'm not underrating shooting stars but I see Young stars at the semi finals if not beyond."

He also charged IFA second representative, DON FA to go for winning in their match against ILAJI FC tomorrow and not to disappoint. ILAJI FC, today, defeated Pace Setters by alone goal.




"When they were nominated, we told them to be good ambassadors and make up proud. Im charging them to go for winning tomorrow."
