NPFL: DIMEJI LAWAL PROMISES FANS XMAS GIFT

Shooting Stars Team Manager, Dimeji Lawal (MON) has assured Oluyole Warriors fans and supporters of a win in this weekend Nigeria Professional Football League matchday two fixture against the defending champion, Akwa United.

The former Julius Berger and Real Madrid B player said Akwa United are coming to Ibadan this weekend to taste their first defeat in the league.


Recall OyoSportsNews had reported preparation and plot made by Akwa United to spoil Christmas celebration for the warriors after thier 3-0 win over Kano Pillars at Uyo.

But in a swift response, Dimeji Lawal on Sports Castle, a radio program packed by Aroka Media on Star FM said Shooting Stars players are ready for their first home match and would use Akwa United win as Christmas gift for the fans 

"If you ask anyone in football, nothing is certain and 100 percent but I'm giving you assurance that on Sunday that we'll give our fans the best Christmas gift. We are going to defeat Akwa United, come rain, come sun."
