Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan forward, Gafar Olafimihan, is sure his team has what it takes to compete for the 2021/22 NPFL title.

The soft spoken goal poacher, in an interview with Shooting Stars Media, explained that going by the level of preparedness of the team, 3SC will be a hard but to crack for other teams.

The Oluyole Warriors, will mark their return to the elite cadre of the Nigerian league with a matchday one tie away to another NPFL returnee, Gombe United next Saturday.

For Olafimihan, the NNL 2020/21 highest goal scorer, supporters and fans of the Oyo State darling team have nothing to worry about but should rather look forward to a scintillating performance from the team.

"We know the expectations of our supporters and fans as we begin our campaign in the NPFL, but I want to assure them that we are battle ready for hostilities in the topflight.

""Our aim is to win the league or at least pick a continental ticket and with what I have seen in our camp, we will get it done, God willing", sounded the former Osun United forward.

Asked whether he could reenact his goal scoring magic in the topflight, the dark skinned striker replied, "Why not? But the major task is getting the job done as a team.

"Team work is what will see us through. It is not about individual glory and with the unity existing in our team, from the management to the coaches and the players, collectively, we will make it happen", concluded the energetic forward.
