BALA'S TACTICAL MASTERPIECE EARNS TORNADOES A VITAL WIN

Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna recorded a vital home win against hard fighting NPFL top team Plateau United at the Kwara Sports Complex the adopted home ground of the Ikon Allah Boys.
The encounter lived up to pre-match expectations as both teams came out smoking in search of first win of the season. The vociferous parked crowd in Kwara Sports Complex and traveling Niger Tornadoes supporters were served delightful football in what was an action packed ninety minutes of football.
Tornadoes went ahead as early as the thirteenth minute on the clock, when Kabiru Adeniji nick named Obagoal found himself in the right position and fire past Abiodun Akande in goal for Plateau United in what turns out to be the only goal of the match.
Niger Tornadoes began the encounter with an unfamiliar 4-1-3-2 formation and later metamorphosed to 4-3-3 in what was a tactical switch by Abubakar Bala Mohammed introducing Ahmadu Liman in the second half - the change however paid off, as rampaging Plateau United attackers who continue to threatened the Tornadoes back line were contained.
At the dying moment of the game Tornadoes wonder kid Munir Idris was thrown into the fray for his NPFL debut.
Granting a post match interview, shortly after the blast of the final whistle, Niger Tornadoes Technical Adviser Abubkar Bala Mohammed commended his players for sticking to match plan and expressed satisfaction for the win.
"I am happy with the result, as you can see we are seventy percent entirely a new team and playing our first game against a big team like player United is not easy but I believe we will improve in our subsequent matches"
