FA CUP: SMART CITY BRUTALIZE BURUJ IN EIGHT GOAL THRILLER

Smart City FC of Lagos on Saturday at the Alade mini stadium, dealt ruthlessly with Buruj fc, 8-0 in the round of 32 in the Lagos FA Cup.

City did not show any mercy for their opponents as they trashed Buruj FC 8-0 on Saturday afternoon. The encounter which was one sided, saw city dominating from start to finish in an encounter which Buruj was no match for city.

Chukwudi Ekeocha and Fatai Ibrahim both got a hat trick, while Rasak Akanji and Odo got a goal each to send a clear warning signal to other teams in the tournament.

Speaking after the game, Chukwudi Ekeocha said it's the grace of God, that is evident in the victory.

"Its grace that made it possible for us to get this huge result and I am also happy to score three goals today, we hope to continue doing our best and by the special grace of God, we will win the FA Cup again." He said.

 Fatai Ibrahim, who also registered a hat trick said they are totally grateful to God and the management of the team for putting everything in place for the team to succeed.

'I want to first thank God for the victory and I also say a big thanks to the management of Smart city, led by Adeboye Anthony Adeyinka for his basic principles of decorum, hard work and envy free life. We will continue to give our best to make sure we make them happy always." He concluded.

Smart city have qualified for the next round of the Lagos FA and will know their next opponents after round 32 results.
