In a condolence message personally signed by the General Manager of the club, Mr. Kunle Oyeleye, and made available to OyoSportsNews, the late monarch was described as a legend who would be missed by Nigeria and Ogbomoso people in particular.
It was noted that Oba Oladunni Oyewumi really impacted the world with his landmark achievements asserting he was a monarch that would consistently occupy a place of pride in the annals of leadership in Ogbomosoland.
"We are shocked by the demise of our amiable Kabiyesi, Oba (Dr) Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III, JP, CON, CFR, who transited this morning at the age of 95 years. 'Nigeria will miss him greatly and Ogbomoso people in general for his exceptional leadership role."
"He was a legend, a unique man whose exploits will never be erased from history. He did so much for his domain and people. There is no doubt he has etched his name in gold."
The message further prayed that God would grant the family and the people of Ogbomoso in general the fortitude to bear the loss.
In addition, the club, however, commiserated with the Oyo state governor Engr Seyi Makinde, noting that the governor who had shown great support and respect for the traditional institution with the remodeling of Soun stadium would most feel the pain of the transition of the monarch.
Describing the departed monarch as a huge supporter of the Ajilete Warriors the club prayed for the repose of his soul stressing, "Baba cannot die, his good deeds in various sectors have immortalized him. He will live on in our memory and in all generations.
"We will miss his wise counsels, his knowledge, his bravery, foresightedness and indomitable attitude. May his soul rest in peace."
