Elijah Godwin gives Iwajowa Athletics a thrilling come-from-behind victory over Kajola Villa

Two brilliant goals from Amuda Waliu (88th) and Elijah Godwin (89th) minutes stoppage-time winner sealed a dramatic, late turnaround for Iwajowa Athletics over Kajola Villa at the Iseyin District Grammar School, Iseyin on matchday two fixture of Peller Unity Cup Season II.


Ramon Azeez's classy first-half strike at the 19th minute had looked set to secure a precious victory for Kajola Villa, before headers by Amuda Waliu and Elijah Godwin gave the Iwajowa Athletics a deserved victory.











Billiaminu Roqeeb's introduction from the bench bolstered Iwajowa Athletics' attack and Amuda Waliu's late free header via a corner kick from Solomon Oladeji brought them level.









Despite time wasting tactics from Kajola Villa stopper, Rilwan Abaja who seems to be injured, Iwajowa Athletics kept on pushing for a winning goal and a bullet header from Elijah Godwin snatches Iwajowa Athletics dramatic comeback win.

The historic parade, the first of its kind in the club’s illustrious history, departed from the iconic Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, and snaked through major streets of Ibadan.
