If anyone has an appreciation at the camp of Remo Stars for the South/West victory over Shooting Stars held at Remo Stars stadium on Sunday, it is Abayomi Adebayo.


But if the Nigeria Professional Football League unbeaten team had lost to the Oluyole Warriors, Abayomi Adebayo still believed he's excited with his performance and also playing against his former team.

The defensive midfielder rescued his side [Remo Stars] at the sixth minutes of the mouth watering encounter after Shooting Stars attacking player, Ayo Adejubu had dribbled Remo Stars goaltender Kayode Bankole but Adebayo's early goal clearance with his head kept the Soname boys in the game for a goalless first half score.


Speaking to OyoSportsNews, Adebayo is delighted to have played against Shooting Stars and also for the victory against the Oluyole Warriors.

"Well, I'm so happy, so excited to play against them, it was just a free game, I just play my mind, that all. I think my performance was key to today's victory, at the first half - they wanted to score but I had to save my team from the post so I think that gave us the victory."


On the team reclaiming top position again, Adebayo replied; "We are so happy to be on the top again, we take it little by little and at the end, we hope to achieve something at the end of season."
