OYO FA, SPORTS COUNCIL UNVEIL PLANS FOR MAKINDE VETERAN CUP

In a letter signed by the association secretary Mr Kehinde Ojelowo which was made available to OyoSportsNews, the letter explained that the essence of the competition is to foster a strong united veterans community through camaraderie of sportsmanship nationwide.
"The motive is to foster unity among veterans nationwide by creating an avenue to network, relish memories from the past, and do what we love doing best competing in a fun-fair environment."
Ojelowo stated further that football clubs such as All Stars and Ambassadors are participate in the competition, adding that registration has started.
"Eligible player for the competition must be 45years and above and the registration fees is one hundred thousand naira (#100,000.00). All stars and ambassadors clubs' in Ogbomoso, Oyo, Oke Ogun, Ibarapa and Ibadan have been invited take part in the competition and registration starts February 15th to 28, 2022." The letter stated.
