OYO FA COMMENDS GOV MAKINDE OVER OLANIYAN'S APPOINTMENT AS 3SC BOSS

Chairman of Oyo State Football Association, Oba Chief James ỌdẹnÃran [the AlákÃnyẹlé of Akinyele] on Friday congratulated former Deputy Speaker of the Oyo State’s House of Assembly, Hon. Babatunde Olaniyan fondly called 'Akoro' over his appointment as the Sole Administrator for Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) which takes effect from 24th February 2022.
Chief James ỌdẹnÃran told OyoSportsNews that the appointment of Hon Olaniyan as the club boss by the governor of the state, Engr Seyi Makinde, is the best thing to happen to the club in recent time.
“As far as the Oyo state football association is concerned, we are delighted with the news of Hon Olaniyan's appointment as Shooting Stars Sole Administrator. The entire exceutive member led by my humble self and staff are happy with this development."

Chief James ỌdẹnÃran also commended Governor Makinde for the appointment and believe Hon Olaniyan's wealth of experience will help turn the fortune of the club.
"We (Oyo FA) would like to appreciate and commend Gov Seyi Makinde. The appointment is right and highly commendable. Hon Olaniyan's wealth of experience as a former footballer and referee makes him very suitable for this post. He is a round peg in a round hole.
Chief Olaniyan, who holds a Bachelor of Education degree in Kinetics and Health Education from the University of Ibadan, is a Nigerian Football Grade 1 Referee, who has also occupied the seat of the Chairman, Oyo State Football Referee Academy since 2004. He has also served as Premier League Football Match Commissioner since 2010.
The newly-appointed Sole Administrator of 3SC was first elected into the Oyo State House of Assembly in 1987, representing Constituency 1, Ibadan North State.
He was re-elected to represent the same Constituency as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2004, while he was also elected to the House of Assembly from the same Constituency in 2011 on the ticket of the Accord Party, during which he served as the Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly till 2015.
