NNL: ANTHONY ENCHO TELLS CROWN PLAYERS TO "GROW UP"

Crown FC boss, Anthony Encho, has told his players to “learn to survive” with the expectation that comes with playing for the club and achieveing the club set goals as the Nigeria National League kicked off this evening.
The 45-year old Cameroonian spoke to OyoSportsNews shortly after his team got the first away point at the NNL 2021/22 season against Nnewi United at Rojenny stadium, Oba.
The former Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) coach said Nnewi united forced his side out of his style and pattern especially at the second half but also commended his boys for their 100 percent concentration and determination.
"To God be the glory for our first match, it was a tough match loaded with lot of expectations from our fans at home and also for the Nnewi United, who also wanted to start on a good note. The game was so intensed, full of pressure especially at the second 45minute."
"At the first half, we had few chances but couldn't convert it, we gained the possession, hold them at the middle but were unable to take the lead."
"The second half was totally different, my players were forced to play aerial balls and we lost a bit of possession and control, Despite their game plan, we were focused, determined and got something out of the game."
Encho also spoke on the team laspses and technical adjustment ahead next league match.
"As I said last week, correction will be made as the league starts because that's the nature of our job. The players need to play to instructions, ensure they play in thier own half and never lose ball. Overall, they played very well, we go back to the drawing board for further corrections."
