20 TEAMS JOSTLE FOR PELLER UNITY CUP SEASON TWO

Twenty (20) grassroots teams in ten local governments will contest for the second edition of Peller Unity Cup Football Tournament billed to commence February 22nd, 2022.

The annual football competition is sponsored by Hon. Shina Peller to boost discovery of exceptional talents abounding at the grassroots, catching them young in a bid to provide a well defined future for the players.

OyoSportsNews gathered that rules and regulations guiding the competition will be made known to team coaches by the orhanizer while jerseys, boots and other empowerment materials will be officially unveiled tomorrow. Also, draws will be conducted at the press conference in Okeho, town hall, Kajola local government area of Oyo State. The Press Conference starts 11am.

It is expected that the opening match of the second edition will hold on 22nd February 2022 in Saki while other matches will also take place across the ten local governments.

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Dosu Joseph, Oyo state football association, Oyo state football coaches association, former Nigeria Internationals, journalists are expected to grace the press conference of the year edition tagged "Road To Oke Ogun".

Meanwhile, Hon Peller, a member of the Federal House of Representative representing the [Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Iwajowa, Kajola Federal Constituency in Oyo State] has promised this year edition will witness tremendous improvement and youth empowerment programs in all 10 local governments in Oke Ogun. The local governments are: (Atisbo, Oorelope, Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola, Irepo, Olorunsogo, Iwajowa, Saki East and Saki West).

Okikiola helped his side clinch her first ever federation cup title, scoring three goals in the three all draw, Ilaji FC emegerd champions 5-4 on penalties and will represent Oyo state at the National Federation Cup.
