Former Nigeria international/former general manager of Shooting Stars Mutiu Adepoju fondly called 'Head Master' has described Peller Unity Cup as a big boost to Nigeria youths who would be participating in the season two edition.


The former Real Madrid B player, who was a special guests at the opening match held at OYSADEP stadium, Saki, Oyo state commended Hon Peller for two years sustainable contribution to the development of grassroots football in Oke Ogun at large.


"Honourable, I want special commend you for this great idea and youths program. It takes huge capital to organize this type of competition that cut across the ten local governments in Oke Ogun and I believe it will surely help all participating teams."


Adepoju also noted that for the country to improve and develop in football, there must be active involvement of all stakeholders to invest in sports especially football which has brought international exposure for the country. He charged the local organizing/technical committee to work harder in discovering and training the next generation of talented and skillful players for Nigeria’s International football teams.
