AGOYE VOWS TO FIGHT FOR ALL POINTS AGAINST PLATEAU UTD

Chief coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Edith Olumide Agoye, admits his team's midweek clash against Plateau United of Jos, will be very tough but believed winning is not impossible.

The Oluyole Warriors face the Tin City boys on Wednesday, in a matchday 13 fixture of the Nigeria Professional Football League.

The top of the bill cracker, which is billed to hold at the New Jos Stadium, will see both sides, aiming to consilidate on their matchday 12 victories in which 3SC beat Dakkada 1-0, while United won on the road, beating Kano Pillars by the same margin.

Speaking with Shooting Stars Media ahead of the encounter, Esin, as the 3SC chief tactician is fonldy called, said he expects a very competitive match, going by the current form of both sides in the thirteen week old season.


"Definitely, we are going to Jos with the sole aim of fighting for the three points at stake, it will be very competitive and we believe that when everything is open there in Jos, we will go in there, fight for the three points and hopefully, we will bring it back home", said the ex-shooting stars' forward.

It is indeed a game in which the sixth placed 3SC would have to lift their game as the second placed Plateau United are currently having a good run, especially on their home ground.

The host are six points clear of the Stars, going into this match, having garnered 24 points from 12 matches as against the visitors' 18, from the same number of matches

Apparently aware of the threat the coach Fidelis Ilechukwu tutored United can pose, Shooting Stars, who had their training session at the venue of the game on Tuesday, are in the Tin City with their best legs as they hope to get a positive result in the tie.
