Crown FC of Ogbomoso General Manager, Kunle Oyeleye has charged his players to be focused in achieving the club’s set target of NPFL promotion as the club begin it’s quest in the NNL this weekend.

The Ajilete Warriors kick off the Nigeria National League season against Nnewi United on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Rojenny international stadium, Oba, Anambra state.

The Ogbomoso based side under new handler, Anthony Encho has recorded good results and performances at the pre-season matches since November with pe-season trips to Ebedei stadium, Osogbo, Saki and Ilorin.

Kunle Oyeleye on telephone call with OyoSportsNews adviced the players to be professional, diligent, focus and remember that the club's target to securing promotion ticket starts against Nnewi United.

"As we all know that His Excellency, Gov Seyi Makinde is a lover of sports, he has promised to replicate his kind gestures to us the way he had done for shooting stars. Promotion ticket is non negotiable, very key and the journey to achieveing it starts this weekend. Earlier at the training session, I charged them to be at their best, and give 100percent commitment on every match."

Oyeleye, who also doubles at the secretary to Nigeria National League Club Owners Association said the players are well motivated and no cause for alarm.

"With the level of preparation through our friendly matches both at Ogbomoso and outside, I see no cause for alarm, we are fully prepared and ready to play any team in our group. The players are well motivated, prepared and there is no room for defeat. I can assure you that the team will start this season on a good note." He assured.

Crown FC and Nnewi United are no strangers to each other. In July 8, 2017, Nnewi united defeated the Ajilete Warriors 3-1, Christian Molokwu grabbed a brace while Ugochukwu Anozie scored the third goal as United dealt a massive blow to Crown FC's promotion ambition to the Nigeria Professional Football League at Rojenny Stadium, Oba.
