Shooting Stars boss Edith Olumide Agoye is certain Gafar Olafimihan will be back scoring goals for fun again despite the striker going through a rough period at the moment.

The Oluyole Warriors forward has only scored once after ten league matches at the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League. The Nigeria National League 2020/2021 top scorer converted a spot kick at the 22nd minute against Sunshine Stars on January 16 - his goal never gave shooting stars the much needed victory as the match ended 2-2.

Last season at the Nigeria National League, Gafar Olafimihan won the highest goal scorer of the season award with 16 goals and the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award. He's currently struggling to find the net after he had recorded several hat tricks for the warriors at the Dipo Dina Intl stadium.

Edith Agoye, while speaking to OyoSportsNews gave the Oluyole Warriors fans - fresh hope about Gafar Olafimihan when he declared the striker has much more to bring to the table.

"It is unfortunate that our highest goal scorer and overall top scorer at the NNL with 16goals has been able to score only one goal. We believe in him - I believe in him, he's been working very hard, getting chances, definitely everything he needs is to score a goal and every other goals will follow"

Shooting Stars will face Remo Stars at the stars stadium this weekend in Ikenne. Remo stars have been unbeaten after ten matches and currently sit second on the NPFL standings. 3SC now occupy 6th position after three wins in last three matches.
