Crown FC Head Coach Encho Anthony has issued a staunch defence of his footballing philosophy on the front of a run of performance that has seen him called the 'Winning Coach' in his former club Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS).

The former Mount Football Cameroon FC Assistant Coach's tactical preferences have received many commendations in recent months following his style of play and possession in Nigeria.

In an exclusive interview with OyoSportsNews, Anthony argues that it is his commitment to possession that has been the key to his team's brilliant record in Nigeria football.

"I so much love possession football style of play. I like the 4-4-2 formation because you can switch to 4-3-3 and when you are winning, then 4-5-1 will be my next option. I don't like parking the bus, I like to have at least 75% possession against my opponent."

"Sometimes I have young players who are ready to learn, play and improve. My only fear is that they are always afraid when pressure comes. but as a coach, I've learnt to encourage, motivate and gear them up."

Encho told OyoSportsNews that he wins matches right from the training session.

"Unlike other countries where we watch teams on tape and plan for formation and selection, I decide my game plan at the training period. I know the players and tactics to use and this has been working perfectly well for me."

Encho, 45, a former player at Bollavi Football Club, Douala, Litoral Province, Cameroon between 2003 and 2004 and Mount Cameroon Football club, a Premier league side in Buea South-West Province, Cameroon from 2005 to 2006 concluded that good officiating, professional football administrators, proper structures and developmental program will surely develop Nigeria football.
