NNL: CROWN TO RESUME CAMPING NOV 15 WITHOUT COACH

Crown FC of Ogbomoso will resume camping for 2021/2022 Nigeria National League on Monday, November 15, 2021.


This was contained in a statement made available to OyoSportsNews by the club media officer, Tunji Oyedeji.

Oyedeji said that the decision for resumption for the new season was reached at the club management meeting presided over by the General Manager (GM), Mr Oyekunle Oyeleye last Friday.

According to him, players are expected to resume camp on sunday evening, November 14, 2021 at the Ogbomoso club camp in readiness for Monday training. The club management also made it known that the usual open screening excercise has been cancelled due to COVID-19 guidelines while players will be invited for screening.

Last season, the team finished 6th on the Nigeria National League group B standing. The ajilete warriors earned 33points from 22 matches. They won ten fixtures, drew three and lost nine.

Meanwhile, the ogbomoso based side was reported to have terminated the contract of Oladunni Oyekale and one of his assistants while another one was drafted to Team B. As it stands, the team is presently without a head coach.

A leaked information from a top club official confirmed that a new coach will be announced soonest.


The team is also expected to enjoy the coming new season with a new team bus which has been promised and redeemed by the stage governor, Engr Seyi Makinde.
