Shooting Stars first assistant coach, Kabiru Alausa, today, provided a tactical response when asked about his team overall performance at the post match interview against NYSC FC (South West Chapter) friendly match.
Earlier before this evening, the oluyole warriors had been reported to execute thier IFA LEAGUE match 56 fixture against Winners FC but were unable were to hold due to logistics.
Speaking to OyoSportsNews, the former Julius Berger points man said the team performed excellently despite it was a team that was quickly arranged by the IFA body. He pointed out that the new players were able to gel very well and played as a team.
"You can see thier performances, it was a good outing. One of the new players got his name of the score sheet. I won't say the team is perfectly okay but we are making sure we get it right soonest before NPFL. Today's game is an eye opener again and we are confident the team will post good performance and result."
Asked where the team need to fortify before the season kickoff, he replied:
"As I said, I'm satisfy with their performance, it is a gradual process because we know what is ahead of us. This is NPFL not NNL so we must not disappoint."
Alausa also revealed that the team will continue her close camping and observe friendly matches simultaneously, so as to know their lapses and areas to work on.
