OKE OGUN UTD MOVES TO REPOSITION SPORTS

Coordinator and President Oke Ogun United Sports Club, Coach Adegbola Daniel has stated that all ten local governments in Oke Ogun areas have agreed and perfected plans to reposition sports in thier zone. Coach Daniel believed this will help the athletes to achieve thier desire goals and dreams and help Oke Ogun to reclaim thier top position in sports in Oyo state.


Daniel, a former Shooting Stars players in 2009/2010 disclosed this in an interview with OyoSportsNews that Oke Ogun United Sports Club has resurfaced with a launching of three hundred million naira take off fund that is designed to give sports a facelift in order to attract more youths to the sector and take them away from the street.




Recall that the planning committee and the club executives had a courtesy visit to the Oyo state commissioner for youth and sports, Asiwaju Seun Fakorede and commissioner for Establishment and Training, Engineer Siju Lawal as preparation towards the official launching of Oke Ogun United Sports Club scheduled to hold on December 1st at OYSADA sports complex, Saki.

Daniel informed OyoSportsNews that the number one sports man in Oyo State had thrown his weight behind thier plans and promised to grace the occasion. He also said apart from giving sports a facelift on Oke Ogun zone, issues concerning welfare of athletes and officials is also receiving prompt attention from the state government.




"We have ten local governments in Oke Ogun (Atisbo, Oorelope, Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola, Irepo, Olorunsogo, Iwajowa, Saki East and Saki West) These

local governments have lot of talents wasting around, in fact the little ones we've been able to discover are doing well for the state, Nigeria and the world. We have former shooting stars, Nafiu Taiwo and many more in Egu, Austria and Nigeria league."

"Saki united and Ebedei club are all doing well in Oyo state but the situation of the club is terrible at the moment. it's been long we receive support from Oyo state. We need support from the government, private companies, individual to come our aid and that is why we are inviting Nigerians to our official launching of #300million take off fund."
