VOLLEYBALL: OLUYOLE SPIKERS LOSE FIRST GAME TO WIKKI SPIKERS

Oyo state volleyball team, Oluyole Spikers today suffered their first loss of the second phase of the 2021 National Division 1 league in Abuja.


Oluyole Spikers lost 3-0 to Wikki Spikers of Bauchi in their first match at the indoor hall of Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.








The Oyo state representative got off to a slow start against the Bauchi team; shooting just 17-25 from the floor in the first set. Oluyole Spikers assistant coach, Ayokunnu Aboderin who had promised to shock their opponents continued to struggle with another 24-26 defeat in the second set.





The Bauchi team maintained their brilliant display with another 25-18 victory to successfully win their first match in an attempt to secure promotion ticket at the ongoing National Division 1 League in Abuja.

In another match, Division 1, Kada Kings zoomed past Spartans VC of Yola 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-18) in the men's second match of the second phase of the 2021 National Division 1 League in Abuja.
