IFA LEAGUE: SHOOTING STARS SURVIVE 12 ALIVE ONSLAUGHT TO MAKE FANS HAPPY

|By Oluseyi Adedire|

Shooting Stars players' brilliant performances and team spirit against 12 ALIVE FC helped them withstood intense late pressure from early kickoff to the final whistle.

Both sides engaged eachother at the matchday 60 of the Ibadan Football Association (IFA) League 2021/2022 season held at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium (Liberty stadium), Ibadan.

Shooting Stars have endured a miserable start after conceding an early goal courtesy of Tosin Olabode Ayomide's eight minutes individual flick on goal, beating Dede who was on duty in the opening 45minutes.

But Chinedu Enuademu who was well positioned in front of 12 ALIVE goal post fired in Shooting Stars first goal to provide a leveller at the 35minutes.

12 ALIVE created the best chances in the first half but were largely unimpressive with their finishing as both sides went into the halftime interval with a goal apiece.

3SC resumed the second half with another style of play, keeping the ball in the own half, distributing passes from right to left edge of the field with few counter advances. The momentum began to increase as Gafar Olafimihan had a chance but wasted. 12 ALIVE's efforts to regain the lead again was fruitless as Tembe, who replaced Dede was not under pressure after making easy saves.

At the 89th minutes, Isiaka Mutiu was the man of the moment after he powered a rocket shot to the right roof of 12 ALIVE.

Shooting Stars thereafter held on to their late strike to return to winning ways after a goalless draw against young stars last week.
