The young Oluyole Warriors led by the duo of Coach Adeyemo Ayodeji Charles and Coach Oladoja Jelili are just a match away from being crown the new champion after defeating the defending champion Katsina United 2-1 at the semi final stage.
Ayodeji's side were down at the first half (45+2) but came from behind at the second half to win 2-1 courtesy of Abass Abubakar and Ajayi Samuel late strike. The come back saw Shooting Stars at the first ever final at the NPFL LALIGA U15 Promises.
While Ayodeji respects the gravity of the situation, he believes the equation is ultimately simple for Shooting Stars – keep winning and doing what will make them win, because Remo Stars will push them.
"It's in our hands," Ayodeji told OyoSportsNews. “Kano Pillars, Katsina United also made effort to be at the final with thier good performances but we thank God we made history. Remo Stars are better sides, you can see thier performance since the first match down to the semi final."
“We know exactly what we need to do - win at the final and bring the trophy down to Oyo state (Ibadan). It is a privilege to be at the final and an honour to lead this lads to this great competition. Now, we must not be distracted tomorrow against Remo stars."
Asked whether the characteristically boisterous atmosphere at the Remo stars stadium would affect his team. Ayodeji replied OyoSportsNews.
"The players have been used to atmosphere here, the pitch, weather, floodlight and many others factors. Though Remo Stars are playing at home but football is beyond that, tthe victory over Katsina United was certainly a big booster for us at the final, It will surely help must on many areas both on and off field." He explained.
