NNL: CROWN FC GM, KUNLE OYELEYE STAYS 'OPTIMISTIC' IN RACE FOR PROMOTION

Crown FC of Ogbomoso general manager Kunle Oyeleye is 'optimistic' about his side's promotion chances and believes their level is not far away from that of Go Round. The Ajilete Warriors are a point behind NNL group B2 leaders Go Round after a comeback win over Bayelsa United in a rescheduled match.Go Round currently top group B2 standings with 21points while Crown FC, Warri Wolves and Rovers FC occupied second, third and fourth position respectively on goal difference.
Oyeleye is feeling good about his side's performance so far at the NNL first round and also confident and hopeful of securing a first position at the of the season.
Asked if he felt he had a group of players capable of achieveing the task ahead as the second round, Oyeleye said "We had good recruitment before the kick-off of the league and this has really helped us with our home record with the points we got away. The set of players will have are up to the task and good enough to deliver the promotion ticket."
"You would recalled that the state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde last year tasked us to get the promotion ticket, our target is intact, no going back and we are confident."
Kunle Oyeleye also told OyoSportsNews that the team is looking to fortify the squad in two major areas.
"As you know that the Nigeria National League transfer window in currently on, we look to reinforce the team at the midfield and forward areas. The technical staff had submitted thier reports and we hope to work it out within the shortest period of time."
The mid-season transfer window according the Nigeria National League is expected to close on Sunday, May 12, 2022. The Ajilete Warriors are expected to travel to Abakaliki, Ebonyi state for a rematch against struggling Cynosure FC.
