The 2022 University of Ibadan senior staff club Easter tennis tournament came to an entertaining end on Sunday the 1st of May,2022 with the doubles final where singles champion Dr. Abimbola Adekanbi teamed up with Engr. Ayo Adeniji to beat the defending champions Mavin Ono and Austin Agbaje 7-5,6-4 to win the doubles category.
The much experienced Ono’s team were the favorite going into the final but, the relentless Dr. Abimbola took them to the limit with his brilliant skills and useful instructions to Engr. Ayo Adeniji who won vital points for his team as they march on to victory.
Dignitaries present are Mr Eyomo Olujimi Kehinde (acting director of sports University of Ibadan) ,Mr. Kehinde Ogunsanya (special assistant on economic affairs), Obadare Oladosu (a renowned sports journalist in Nigeria) to mention but, few were all in attendance to grace the grand finale.

Okikiola helped his side clinch her first ever federation cup title, scoring three goals in the three all draw, Ilaji FC emegerd champions 5-4 on penalties and will represent Oyo state at the National Federation Cup.
