32 CLUBS TO PARTICIPATE IN OYO STATE AITEO CUP

Thirty-two football teams have signified their readiness for the 2022 Oyo State Federation Cup which is slated to kick off next week across the State.
Unlike the previous editions, where we had the likes of Tewo Queen, Ladoja Queen, Nito Queen, Arole Queen from North West local government, - there will be no female category for this year.
Chairman Oyo State Football Association (OYSFA) Chief James ỌdẹnÃran disclosed this at press briefing/ draw ceremony held to kick start the tournament in Ibadan on Monday. The program held at the Tennis Court Hall, Lekan Salami stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan had in attendance football club owners, administrators, coaches and team captains.
According to Chief James ỌdẹnÃran, this year’s edition of the tournament promises to be exciting one after been unable to host it for two years consecutively due to COVID-19. He disclosed that monetary rewards, individual prizes and material gifts would be given to teams and players while assuring participating teams of unbiased football event.
"I would like to welcome everyone to this press briefing/ draw ceremony to heralding 2022 Oyo State Federation Cup. This is the longest football competition in the history of football as far as Nigeria is concerned, we are glad this year edition will hold after it was suspended due to COVID-19. As the Chairman of the Association, I appreciate the support and presence of the stakeholders."
“We are not restricting the games to Ibadan this time, we would ensure games are played in other parts in the state like Oyo and modalities are in place for good officiating and ensuring security of life and property during the tournament."
Also speaking at the ceremony, the State Football Association secretary, Mr Kehinde Ojelowo revealed rules, regulations and guidelines guiding the tournament. Ojelowo emphasized strict adherent to rules of the tournament and encouraged them to make official report if need be.
Also present at the ceremony, vice chairman of the association, Comrade Isaac Ayangbile, Chairman Oyo State Sports Council, Hon Gbenga Adewusi fondly called 'Arole', General Manager Oyo State Sports Council Mr Gboyega Makinde, sports journalists,
Oladeni Michael (Ibarapa Zone), Azeez Adeniyi (Oke Ogun), Taiwo Sunday(Admin Officer), Ogunleye John kayode, Olaleye Akintunde (Asst FA Sec), football coaches and members of the state football association.
The opener will see CCC Rehoboth FC play Aderemi FC. Names of the participating clubs in the year edition are:
