DERBY DELIGHT: SEYI OKEOWO SCORES ON DEBUT AS DOMINANT CROWN FC BEAT IJEBU UTD

Oluwaseyi Okeowo scored Crown FC first goal as the Ajilete Warriors again earned another 2-1 comeback win over stubborn Ijebu United at the LAUTECH football pitch on Saturday evening.
The former Gateway United and Shooting Stars player was an unused substitute in Crown FC's last away match at Abakaliki against Cynosure FC.
The short skinny midfielder/winger made his first appearance for the Ajilete Warriors and was on the score sheet to draw level with Ijebu United at the first half. Ogunleye Kazeem's 36th minute freekick caught Belema Mamadu napping at the 36th before Seyi Okeowo got the equalizer at the (45+5) added time.
Crown FC started the second half with more intensity and had two feeble shots through Sodiq Alamayo, who started as a point man, but it was Ijebu United that almost increased the lead through Ihemekwe Ifeanyi.
Anthony Encho's side could have cemented the match at the before 75th minute but lost three chances form the boots of Dauda Olalere.
However, the homers got the winning goal from Yussuf Taiye at the 88th minute after connecting well Abdulrafiu Taiwo cross 
Speaking to OyoSportsNews, debutant goal scorer, Oluwaseyi Okeowo said: "This is the moment I've been waiting for, if you remembered very well - I scored against Crown FC last season at Abeokuta when I was with Gateway United and to have scored for them on my debut - it means a lot to me and my career. Also, Ijebu United head coach was my former boss at Gateway, so I was so happy to score this evening."

"The game was so tough, full of actions and pressure. You could see how dominant we were at the second and even after the we took the lead, we kept pushing because they could equalize at any point in time."
