The 'young' Oluyole Warriors looked destined for thier first defeat as they trailed 1-0 to the defending champion Katsina United U15 team, but Shooting Stars U15 Coach Adeyemo Ayodeji Charles was delighted with the mental strength they showed in a dramatic come back win.
3SC's mental fortitude impressed Ayodeji as two second half goals from Abass Abubakar and Ajayi Samuel clawed them back from 1-0 to win at Remo Stars stadium, Ikenne.
"We are delighted to come back from a goal down and win, our target is to be at the final and bring trophy down to Oyo state. We are delighted," Ayodeji told OyoSportsNews "But I have to praise the players for their team spirit, character and resilience."
"Also for the great quality we showed after we were 1-0 down, especially at the second half. I said after Sunshine Stars match that it's going to be a game of tactical plans and adjustment because we know them very well. My tactics actually worked but we observed they also had another game plan, - so, we had to switch to another option immediately."
Ayodeji believed the victory will help his lads ahead of the final match scheduled for Sunday, May 8 at the Remo Stars stadium, Ikenne by 6pm against Remo Stars U15.
